KARACHI, Aug 11: A couple was found dead the next morning after their wedding in North Nazimabad. Police said Mohammed Azeem and Beenish were married on Friday night at a marriage hall in North Nazimabad. They said the groom’s family found the couple dead in their bedroom on Saturday morning.

The bodies were shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for a post-mortem examination. The cause of their death would be ascertained after the chemical examination.

North Nazimabad Town Police Officer told Dawn that the couple along with other family members had returned home around 4 o’ clock in the morning. The couple went into the bedroom around 5am. “At 10am, Azeem’s mother knocked at the door to get no response. At 11am she pushed the door to find her son and daughter-in-law dead on the floor in their wedding dresses,” he said.

“We are taking the incident as murder though we don’t have anyone to suspect at the moment,” the TPO said, adding that the investigation was under way.
