HYDERABAD: Protesters block road

HYDERABAD, July 13: A large number of residents of Mohammadi town Qasimabad blocked the Wadhu Wah Road on Friday in protest against non-supply of drinking water to their area for several days.

The protesters who included women and children as well said that they had submitted several complaints to the Water and Sanitation Agency but it did nothing to solve their problem.

According to deputy managing director of Wasa, Bashir Awan, who rushed to the road block the 16-inch pipe line which carried water from 1 MGD filter plant had developed leaks leading to suspension of water supply.
