NAWABSHAH, June 3: Written test to fill different technical posts in the health department were held here on Sunday. About 2000 candidates appeared in the test.

These tests were held in H.M Khoja High School, D.C High School, APWA School and Court Road School.

According to sources, 4500 candidates applied for the technical posts ranging from BPS- 5 to 15, including a position for OT technician and a vaccinator.

Earlier, the Health Department officials had invited applications from candidates in 2005. Although the department received 4500 applications, but no tests were conducted that year.

The positions were re-advertised this year for which over 2000 fresh candidates applied making a total of almost 6500. It may be recalled that only 2000 candidates could appear in the written test.

PPP-SB: President of the Pakistan People’s Party (SB) Sindh, Mian Khan Rind, has accused the Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) of destroying the peaceful atmosphere prevailing in cities.

In a press release issued here on Sunday, he alleged that the leaders of MQM were not loyal to Sindh and they had their own agenda.

Condemning the registration of FIR against Maula Bux Mashori, former president PPP (SB) Sindh and his nephew in Hyderabad, he said that Aslam Pervez of MQM was behind the incident.

He further said that Aslam Pervez wanted bloodshed in rural areas of Sindh and warned that if the MQM did not withdraw FIR within 48 hours, PPP (SB) would give a call for a peaceful strike throughout Sindh on June 5.
