LARKANA: MQM rally in Larkana

LARKANA, May 27: Activists of Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) took out a procession here on Sunday from its zonal office against the chief of Tehrik Insaf Imran Khan.

Led by the zonal in-charge, they converged in front of Jinnahbagh.

Speaking on the occasion, Ponjomal MPA, Ubaidullah Buledi and others severely criticised Imran Khan and accused him of disturbing the peace in Karachi.

They accused the establishment for projecting Imran Khan to achieve its nefarious designs in Sindh and slammed the Lal Masjid activists for their silent posture over ‘crimes’ committed by Imran Khan.

ROAD BLOCKED: A large number of people carrying the body of Mohammad Amin Mangrio, a murder attempt victim who died on Sunday, blocked Airport road near Kamal Atta Turk Memorial, demanding an end to tribal clashes.

Mr Mangrio was seriously injured a week ago when a group of armed men, apparently to take revenge, opened fire at a medical store.

Father of the deceased, Shahnawaz Mangrio, led the protest. The participants chanted slogans against the killers and also condemned lukewarm attitude of police in arresting them.

They accused Chandios and Mahars of being involved in the firing and urged the rulers to address the growing problem of tribal clashes, which was not only destabilising peace but also killing innocent people.
