KHAIRPUR, May 15: A large number of Awami Tehrik and Sindhi Shagird Tehrik activists, led by the District President of Awami Tehrik, Zulfiqar Phulpoto, took out a procession from court road and addressed the demonstrators outside the press club on Tuesday.

Speaking on the occasion, they condemned killing of Mohammad Nawaz Kunrani in Karachi and held the MQM responsible for it.

They appealed to Sindhi people to quit MQM. They added that MQM leadership's conspiracy of wearing Sindhi cap and Ajrak has now been exposed and people could see their real faces.

They added that political workers, including Mohammad Nawaz, were killed under a planned conspiracy of MQM’s armed workers who were given a freehand.

Peace Offer: The Chief of Mari community, Rais Wali Mohammad Mari and his son, nazim of UC Khanpur, Fazal Mari have said that they are peace loving people and were not enemies of a group of Phulpoto community.

Talking to journalists in Tando Nazar Ali village on Monday evening, they said that they were ready to accept any decision/settlement if and when the Phulpoto group likes to take.

They further said that they did not have any reservations about the supervision and location for the settlement.

They said that about 27 schools, including some middle schools, were closed in Tando Nazar Ali area due to the dispute. They added that primary examinations, which were to start from Tuesday, could also not be held.

They further added that they had never been involved in any tribal disputes.—Correspondent
