LARKANA, Dec 31: Sacked employees of the Sui Southern Gas Company (SSGC) continued their protest which entered into third week on Sunday. They observed hunger strike outside local press club.

A batch of hunger strikers, demanding their reinstatement in light of the Supreme Court's verdict, pledged to continue their protest even on Eid day and after Eid, they said, they would march to Islamabad and protest outside the parliament to press for the acceptance of their demand.

They said that while country was celebrating Eid, families of the fired employees were forced to brave worst state of poverty, price hike.

MISSING CHILDREN: With the efforts of Khidmat-i-Masoom Welfare Trust (KMWT) Larkana, 557 missing children had reunited with their families in 2006.

Anwar Khokhar, running the centre for missing and abandoned children, said here on Sunday that child lifters gangs operate in Chamman, Shikarpur and Khairpur districts.
