CHITRAL, Dec 27: Life has come to a standstill in Chitral as snowfall and heavy downpour have badly affected the communications and power supply system in the district. The meteorological office has recorded about 13 inches of snow and 38mm of rain. Supply of electricity from the national grid has been disconnected, while traffic and PIA flights to the area have been cancelled because of the weather.—APP
