NAWABSHAH, Sept 4: Sindh Jamaat-i-Islami Amir Dr Mumtaz Memon has said that the operation in Balochistan and tribal areas can be harmful to the solidarity of country. He was speaking at a gathering held in connection with the 66th Youm-i-Tasees of the Jamaat on Sunday evening.

Rejecting the women’s rights bill, he said that it had been presented by Sherry Rehman of the People’s Party Parliamentarians two years back and at that time it had not been accepted by the treasury. He said that now the bill was presented on the directives of the US for spreading obscenity in the country.

He said that the rulers would prolong their tenure with the US backing but they could not resolve people’s problems.

He said that the MMA government in the NWFP had provided free textbooks to students and scholarships to graduates.

He said that the MMA was struggling with the help of people to get rid of the army rulers.

He said that Hezbollah’s resistance during recent Israeli aggression was reminiscent of the early Islamic victories.

SUICIDE: A man and woman committed suicide due to domestic reasons in different parts of here on Sunday.

Mashooq Ali Zardari, 35, of Taj colony committed suicide by throwing himself before a train near the Nawabshah railway station. Whereas, Khanzadi, 25, of village Abdullah Jatt took her life by taking pesticide.
