Demonstrations in Swabi

SWABI, Aug 30: The Alliance for the Restoration of Democracy and Awami National Party on Wednesday held separate protest demonstrations against the killing of Jamhoori Watan Party chief Nawab Akbar Khan Bugti.

The protesters gathered at the Kernel Sher Chowk chanting slogans against the killing of Akbar Bugti.

The ARD workers and leaders also held Ghaibana Namaz-i-Janaza of Akbar Bugti.

Addressing protesters, ARD leaders said that the killing of the JWP chief would prove to be the last nail in the coffin of the incumbent government. They said that all political parties should join hands against President Gen Pervez Musharraf and the present government.

ANP leaders criticised the government for the military operation in Balochistan and said that the best option to resolve the dispute was negotiations.
