KARACHI, Feb 10: Aqeel Ahmed and Ijaz Ahmed spun Faisalabad to an emphatic 224-run victory over Bahawalpur in the Quaid Trophy Grade-I match at Bahawalpur Stadium Sunday.
According to details available here, off-spinner Aqeel claimed six for 61 and Ijaz four for 35 as Bahawalpur collapsed to 121 in their second innings after being set a stiff target of 346 on the final day.
Ijaz, who emulated teammates Zahoor Elahi and Mohammad Ramzan by reaching 1,000 first-class runs in the current season in this match during the course of his 110 Saturday, finished with a match bag of six for 70 with his occasional off-spinners.
Aqeel also had a dream game by finishing with match figures of 10 for 192.
