KHAIRPUR: Folk singer dies

KHAIRPUR, Aug 2: Renowned folk singer, musician and co-mposer, Ustad Mohammad Hassan Phulpoto, died of cardiac failure on Tuesday night. He was 65.

Mr Phulpoto breathed his last when he was being taken to Karachi for treatment. His funeral prayers were attended by a large number of artists, musicians, journalists and common people.

He was laid to rest in Jado Shah Graveyard in the evening on Wednesday. The late Phulpoto served Radio Pakistan, Khairpur, till his last day for about 15 years. He had been a cardiac patient since last five years but could not get any proper treatment due to poverty.—BoC
