TOBA TEK SINGH: Commissioner Dr Imran Hamid Sheikh has taken notice of the dry sweeping being carried out by the Suthra Punjab Authority (SPA) workers on the Millat Road in Faisalabad.

He directed the SPA managing director to immediately discontinue this practice and strictly prohibit dry sweeping. He said dry sweeping was causing dispersion of dust particles into the atmosphere, contributing to the prevailing smog situation.

RAPE: Gojra City police arrested a man on charge of raping a minor child with disabilities.

According to a police official, police traced and arrested the suspect within an hour after the incident. He said the complainant, a resident of Nazir Park, informed the police that his eight-year-old mentally challenged son was playing in the street from where an unidentified suspect lured him to a deserted room and had raped him. The police searched and arrested the suspect, a resident of Tand-lianwala, and registered a case against him.
