Sadqay Hits 100M

Two years ago, singer and actor Aashir Wajahat released a song titled ‘Sadqay’. It was liked by all and sundry. The youngster impressed music lovers and practitioners alike. In late September 2026, the track crossed the 100 million mark on Spotify. That is huge, for sure. Congrats to Aashir W! Celebrating the achievement, Aashir W philosophised on social media that when a piece of art comes straight from the heart, with the purest of intentions, it makes its way to the hearts of everyone it finds. Right, he is. His parents must be going, “Sadqay jaoon [We adore you].”
The ‘F’ Word

Actress and singer Ayesha Omar wants people to understand the meaning of feminism in its truest spirit. She is disturbed by reports of violence against women committed in different parts of the world. To provide a better understanding, last week she took to Instagram, writing: “Why does the word feminism bother men so much? Feminism doesn’t hate men. It hates abusers, sexists, misogynists, rapists, paedophiles and deadbeats. And good men aren’t bothered by that, because they hate them too.” Well put, Ayesha O!
Daddy’s Work

Although actor Josh Hartnett and his wife, actress Tamsin Egerton, keep the names and lives of their four children away from the media (no one knows their kids’ names), the Pearl Harbour (2001) star revealed to a media outlet that his children haven’t seen any of his movies. “My kids have never seen me in anything. I like it this way. I think it’s healthy. They’re like, ‘It’s daddy’s work.’ But they’re just living their lives and they’re happy with their own stuff.” Josh H, to be honest, after watching your latest film Verity, we think your children are wise.
Last Call for Koffee

In 2004, Indian filmmaker Karan Johar (aka K-Jo) came up with the TV talk show Koffee with Karan. It became an instant hit for two reasons: one, A-list Bollywood stars appeared on the programme as guests, and two, K-Jo’s questions had no, or very few, filters. He has now announced that Season 9 of the show, which will go on air on October 14, will be the last. After that, there will be no more Koffee with Karan. Maybe the show has run through all the A-list Bollywood celebrities in nine seasons. Or who knows, maybe K-Jo wants to move on to stiffer drinks?
Third Time’s A Charm?

On September 30, Canadian actor and comedian Jim Carrey got married to Min Ah. Who is Min A? She is an artist and an actress from Los Angeles. This is Jim C’s third marriage. Although they have been seeing each other for the last four years, the two kept their relationship private. It was only in February this year that they came, hand-in-hand, to the 51st César Awards in Paris, where Jim C was receiving an award and publicly referred to Min A as his “sublime companion” and “an angel.” Otherwise, their affair has largely eluded the shutterbugs’ flashes. Jim C is 64 and Min A is 32. As Ace Ventura would say, “All righty, then!”
Romancing the Truth

Hollywood couple Michael Douglas and Catherine Zeta-Jones have been married for 26 years. He first tied the knot with producer Diandra Luker in 1977 and the pair were divorced in 2000. In the 1980s, rumours went around that Michael D was having an affair with his Romancing the Stone (1984) co-star Kathleen Turner. Both denied that. Now, the actor has come out with a memoir One Helluva Ride in which he confesses, “The chemistry I had with Kathleen Turner was so strong, audiences have been certain for years that we were in a relationship together while making the film. The truth is that, during the production of Romancing the Stone, Kathleen and I fell hard for each other and began a relationship. It wasn’t a fly-by-night affair; it grew naturally from how closely we were working together, how much pressure we were under, how much we respected and cared for one another, and how attracted we were to each other.” Hmmm… Kathleen, sorry, Catherine ZJ may not be happy after reading this.
