HYDERABAD, July 19: A landlord of Tando Bago accused EDO education of Badin district on Wednesday of filing a false case against him on charges that someone else had appeared on his behalf in the class-IX examinations.

Syed Ghulam Hussain, son of Haji Shah, told a news conference at the Hyderabad Press Club that the EDO under a pre-planned conspiracy raided an examination centre in Pangrio High School on June 20 where class-IX examinations were being held.

Mr Hussein said that the EDO filed a complaint that he (Mr Hussein) had sent someone else to sit the examination in his place.

He made it clear that on June 20, he was ill and was in Karachi. He had never submitted any examination form to appear in class-IX examination because he had already cleared his matriculation examination from Allama Iqbal Open University in 2005, he said.

He said that the EDO was resident of Tando Bago and was a political rival of his family.

He filed the case at Pangrio police station deliberately to defame him and his cousin, a provincial minister, Mr Hussain claimed.
