Tribal elder’s son, two friends shot dead in Turbat

GWADAR: The son of a tribal elder and two of his friends were killed when unidentified gunmen on motorcycles opened fire with automatic weapons in Pidarak area of District Kech, police said on Wednesday.

The attackers opened fire indiscriminately and fled, leaving three men dead at the scene, officials said.

Police rushed to the scene after receiving information about the attack and shifted the bodies to a nearby health facility. The victims were identified as Shah Baig, son of tribal elder Sardar Aziz Bizenjo, and his two friends, Amanullah and Altaf Hussain.

No motive was immediately known, and police said they were conducting raids to apprehend the attackers.

Baig’s older brother and religious scholar Mufti Shah Mir Aziz Bizenjo, was killed by unidentified gunmen in Turbat two years ago.
