KHUZDAR: Prime Minister Zulfikar Ali Bhutto today [July 26] said the main objective of the programme being implemented by the people’s Government is to ensure unity of the country, consolidate its strength and better the lot of the people. Addressing a huge crowd at the Khuzdar helipad … he said the plans of his Government would bear fruits in due … time and these would benefit not only present but also future generations. He said fundamental changes had been effected by the people’s Government in Baluchistan... . Time would prove that these steps were taken for the welfare ... of the people of the province... . He congratulated the brave … people of Baluchistan for foiling ... conspiracies … and said the people ... had proved they had great love … for the country. …

He also cautioned ... against the elements who might try to mislead them about the removal of defunct NAP Government and said the action was taken in the national interest as these elements … wanted to … dismember [the country]. They had contacts with foreign Powers and thought that after the separation of East Pakistan they could further disintegrate Pakistan.
