RAWALPINDI: A teenage labourer was electrocuted while working at an under-construction house in Bahria Town Phase VII on Thursday.
Shortly after the incident was reported, the Rescue 1122 crew reached the scene and administered CPR, but the victim could not be revived.
The victim, identified as Waheed, 18, died after receiving a fatal electric shock while working in the house.
Later, the body was shifted to the hospital for legal formalities.
Rescue 1122 Rawalpindi has already issued an advisory urging people not to allow their children to go near nullah Lai and electric poles during the monsoon. In addition, people have been advised not to stay under the roofs of dilapidated houses.

Meanwhile, police have registered a case after footage on social media revealed that a minor domestic worker was brutally tortured by his employer in the Block C Satellite Town area on Thursday.
Police said that a video on social media, which included an appeal to the police and other concerned authorities, showed that he had been visiting his friend’s apartment for the last couple of days.
While visiting his friend’s apartment, he saw that a boy aged between eight and ten years was allegedly being tortured.
He further revealed that about one week ago he also noticed that another young inmate of the house was allegedly torturing the same minor boy.
After the video circulated on social media, the police promptly moved and reached the house and investigated the issue.
During the investigation, it was discovered that the suspect, who lived in Block C of Satellite Town, had been torturing a young boy while he worked as a domestic servant.
The victim belonged to Okara, police said.
A police spokesman said that shortly after the incident regarding the torture of the minor boy came to light, the police took notice and registered an FIR, and the CPO directed the arrest of the suspect.
Police said that the victim was shifted to the Child Protection Bureau after the registration of an FIR.
