NHA notifies 7pc hike in M2 toll tax

ISLAMABAD: The National Highway Authority (NHA) has increased toll tax at Islamabad-Lahore Motorway (M2) by 7 per cent, with effect from July 5.

According to a notification issued by the NHA, the rev­­­­ised toll rate shall remain in effect till April 23, 2027. The toll was raised under the concession agreement between NHA and Motorway Operations and Reha­bilitation Engineering (Private) Limited (MORE), a subsidiary of Frontier Works Organisation (FWO).

The organisation is responsible for rehabilitation, and modernisation work of the M-2.

The revised toll rates for cars, jeeps and taxis are Rs1,430, wagons Rs2,390, coasters Rs3,350, buses Rs4,770, trucks (2 & 3 Axle) Rs6,210 and articulated trucks Rs7,980. The rates have been increased as per kilometre charge.
