Six killed in Quetta-Karachi highway crash

KHUZDAR: At least six members of a family, including women and children, were killed and two others injured in a collision between a car and a pickup on the Quetta-Karachi National Highway in the Kakat area late on Monday evening.

According to police, a car carrying six people was on its way to Karachi from Pishin when it collided with a pickup coming from the opposite direction, resulting in the deaths of all six passengers in the car on the spot.

The deceased included two women and two children. Police said all six victims belonged to Pishin district.

Soon after the incident, police rushed to the site and shifted the bodies and injured persons to the district hospital.

The deceased were identified as Haji Ayub, Muhammad Majid, Bibi Salma, Arifa Bibi and two minors. The injured, Amanullah and Saeed Ahmed, were travelling in the pickup.
