Shoaib loses to Nordquist in final

ISLAMABAD: Sweden’s Arvid Nordquist in an exciting final defeated Mohammad Shoaib of Pakistan to win the Pakistan ITF Championship (ITF M-15 Leg-2) title here at the PTF Complex on Sunday.

Nordquist won the first set 7-5. However, Shoaib made an impressive comeback to clinch the second set 6-3 and make it 1-1. The Swedish player in the decisive set faced considerable resistance from his Pakistan rival before the former clinched it 7-6(3) to win the title.
