Solar financing solutions

DIB Pakistan (DIB) entered a strategic alliance with Beyond Green Solar Solutions to offer innovative, Shariah-compliant solar financing models/solutions to customers across Pakistan, according to a press release.

The partnership was formalised through a signing ceremony held at DIB’s head office in Karachi. This collaboration marks a significant step toward enabling broader access to clean and sustainable energy solutions, while reinforcing DIB’s commitment to responsible financing and environmental stewardship. Customers are set to benefit from accessible financing options for solar energy systems, helping reduce dependence on conventional energy sources and better manage rising electricity costs.

The solution combines DIB’s strong financial expertise and nationwide presence with Beyond Green Solar Solutions’ technical capabilities in solar energy options. It is designed to serve a wide range of customer segments, offering flexibility, affordability, and a seamless processing experience.

Obesity care in Pakistan

Novo Nordisk launched its “Live Lighter” initiative in Pakistan for people living with obesity at an event held at the Mohatta Palace in Karachi, as per a press release. The event brought together healthcare leaders, policymakers, media, and influencers to address people’s obesity challenges.

Despite its growing prevalence both globally and in Pakistan, obesity continues to be viewed through a lens of personal responsibility, often delaying timely and appropriate care. It is closely linked to more than 200 medical conditions, including type 2 diabetes, cardiovascular disease, kidney and liver disorders and some types of cancers that significantly affect long-term health and quality of life and put increasing pressure on healthcare systems.

Addressing the audience, H.E Maja Mortensen, Ambassador of Denmark to Pakistan, said, “Tackling complex health challenges like obesity requires collaboration, innovation, and a shared commitment to improving lives.”

Sindh acceleration programme

The IBA Centre for Entrepreneurial Development (CED), in partnership with the Sindh Enterprise Development Fund (SEDF) and Sapphire Consulting Services, officially inaugurated the Sindh Acceleration Program (SAP) at IBA City Campus, according to a press release.

The onboarding and orientation ceremony brought together senior government officials, institutional leaders, mentors, ecosystem partners, and startups from across Sindh, marking the beginning of a transformative entrepreneurial journey.

A key highlight of the ceremony was the distribution of laptops to participating startups, symbolising the collective investment in empowering founders with the tools and resources nee­ded to scale their ventures. SAP represents a major step toward building a stronger, innovation-driven, and inclusive startup ecosystem in Sindh.

PSW, TDAP sign MoU

Pakistan Single Window (PSW) and the Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP) entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) at the TDAP Headquarters in Karachi, as per a press release. This partnership aims to accelerate the digitalisation of Pakistan’s trade ecosystem, focusing on enhancing regulatory efficiency and providing integrated, modern services to the country’s export and import community.

PSW will work with TDAP to harmonise export facilitation processes and integrate key digital platforms, including TDAP’s Pakistan Trade Portal and Exporters Directory, into the broader PSW environment. This integration is designed to ensure that traders have seamless, real-time access to vital trade information and services, reducing the reliance on manual procedures.

Fronx XUV launched

Pak Suzuki Motor Company announced the official launch of the Suzuki Fronx, as per a press release. With this launch, Suzuki introduces a new vehicle category, the XUV, in Pakistan. The Fronx is positioned as a modern, stylish, and practical offering that represents a major step in Suzuki’s journey to redefine modern mobility. The launch reflects Suzuki’s commitment to innovation, quality, and evolving customer needs.

Hiroshi Kawamura, Managing Director of Pak Suzuki Motor Company, spoke about Suzuki’s legacy of enabling mobility in Pakistan. He shared the company’s vision to deliver reliable, affordable, and evolving mobility solutions aligned with changing lifestyles. He highlighted Fronx as a strategic step toward a more aspirational and modern product lineup. He reaffirmed Suzuki’s commitment to customers through its new slogan, “By Your Side.”
