Gujranwala BISE exam controller removed

GUJRAT: The Gujranwala Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) on Wednesday surrendered the services of examination controller, assigning additional charge of the post to colleges deputy director.

A spokesman for Gujranwala BISE says that the services of examination controller Dr Ehtesham Jaan has been directed to report to his original place of posting. However, he did not disclose the reason for the decision.

The matriculation examinations have been underway for the last couple of weeks across the Gujranwala region.

The spokesman says that Gujranwala Colleges Deputy Director Prof Nadeem Ahmed has been assigned the additional charge of the BISE examination controller and he has assumed the charge.

The board gave no reason for the official’s removal

The decision to remove Dr Ehteshan has been taken with the approval of Gujranwala commissioner, who was also the BISE chairman.

Later, speaking to the media at his office, Prof Naveed said he would ensure a smooth and transparent conduct of the ongoing exams across the Gujranwala region.

JI: Jamaat-i-Islami Emir Hafiz Naeemur Rehman says the political elite have left at least eight million youths of Pakistan at the mercy of drugs, while his party has trained at least 1.4m youths in information technology.

He was addressing party workers in Gujrat, Kharian and Dinga towns during the JI’s membership drive.

Punjab JI Emir Dr Tariq Saleem, Gujrat Emir Ansar Dhool, Imran Anwar and Raja Naeem Khawar also spoke.
