RAWALPINDI: A shocking incident has surfaced where a girl was repeatedly raped by various people which resulted in her getting pregnant.

The incident came to light after the victim reached out to the police and revealed the details. Following the registration of the FIR, the hotel manager and his woman accomplice were arrested. According to the FIR, the victim was a resident of Vehari and came to Rawalpindi nine years ago to work as a labourer with her father. She started selling Miswak (chewing stick) to support her father.

She said after her father returned back to his native town, she started staying in a hotel in Pirwadhai. While she was residing there, the hotel manager and a woman locked her in a room and sent an unknown person there who allegedly raped her. She was also threatened when she asked them to allow her to contact her father.

The victim further alleged that at the behest of the hotel manager and his accomplice, various people would come and rape her as a result of which she became pregnant.

She said she gave birth to a daughter in the District Headquarters Hospital in Rawalpindi. After delivering the baby, she reached Pirwadhai where the hotel manager and the woman snatched the child from her and threatened both the mother and child with dire consequences.

Due to fear for her life and the safety of her daughter, she did not take any action and asked the woman, who was the hotel manager’s accomplice, to hand over the baby to her, but she refused. Later the hotel manager also raped her.

During this time, the accused prepared a fake stamp paper which she did not know about. Then seven months ago, she got married to a person who assured her that they would take back the baby girl and raise her.

She further stated in the FIR that she had come to the police station for legal action against the hotel manager and his woman accomplice. After the matter came to the notice of CPO Rawalpindi Khalid Hamdani, a case was registered against the accused on charges of rape, kidnapping a child, cheating and forcing a person into prostitution.

A police spokesman said the police have arrested the hotel manager who raped the woman and kidnapped her newborn baby.

The newborn was also recovered. Raids are being conducted to arrest the other accomplices of the main accused.

Child assaulted

In another incident, a four-year-old son of a goldsmith was allegedly sexually abused by a neighbour in Ratta Amral area on Saturday.

The victim’s father lodged an FIR with the police saying that he is a goldsmith and had one daughter and three sons. He said he was sleeping in the house when he heard his four-year-old son crying.

The child told his mother that one of his neighbours was standing outside his house in the street as he was playing there. The suspect invited him to his house to play a laptop game and later allegedly sexually abused him.

Taking strict notice of the incident, CPO Rawalpindi Khalid Hamdani ordered registration of a case and directed SP Rawal Saad Arshad to arrest the suspect. After conducting the child’s medical examination, a police team led by DSP City Syed Azhar Shah and SHO Ratta Amral Ali Hussain registered a case and arrested the 18-year-old suspect.
