SAHIWAL: The Crime Control Department (CCD) on Friday arrested two outlaws linked to the banned Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan near the Ittefaq Sugar Mill on the Sahiwal-Pakpattan Road.

The CCD received information that members of the banned outfit were distributing hate material, pamphlets, and prohibited books in the villages and shops around the mill. A CCD team arrested two suspects — Inamullah and Azeemullah, residents of Macha Madakhel, South Waziristan, KP.

During the operation, the team recovered cash, banned literature, hundreds of pamphlets, a cash receipt book, and stickers of the TTP.

Investigations revealed that the suspects were engaged in fundraising activities and distributing hate material. A case was registered on complaint of officer Anees and the suspects were shifted to CCD Headquarters, Sahiwal.
