Boy drowns, brother missing

NAWABSHAH: A 12-year-old boy drowned and his brother was also feared drowned in Amarji Canal near Daur town of Shaheed Benazirabad district on Friday.

They were cooling themselves in the canal amid sizzling weather conditions, locals said, adding that when they did not come out, a search was mounted and Rescue-1122 service was alerted.

Divers from the rescue agency fished out the body of Mohammed Hassan, 12, and were making efforts till late in the evening to locate his brother, Fida Hussain. They are residents of Usman Colony, Daur, the area police said.
