LAHORE: An anti-terrorism court on Saturday extended the judicial remand of PTI social media activist Falak Javed in a case of attack on Islamabad police team outside Zaman Park residence of PTI founding chairman Imran Khan.

Falak Javed was presented before the court on the expiry of her previous remand.

During the hearing, police sought further extension in remand, stating that the supplementary challan in the case was still under preparation.

The prosecution alleged that the suspect was involved in an attack on Islamabad police officials who had arrived at the residence of Imran Khan to comply with a court’s summons.

According to the investigation, the suspect and other agitated workers allegedly resorted to violence, hurled petrol bombs and injured police personnel.

After hearing the arguments, the duty judge allowed the police request and extended the judicial remand of Falak for two weeks.

Racecourse police had registered a case in 2023.
