KARACHI: The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has completed the delimitation of the constituencies of eight cantonment boards in Sindh.

A total of 54 objections were received to the delimitation of these eight cantonment boards, a spokesperson for the Sindh Election Commission said here on Tuesday.

The delimitation authorities had resolved all objections filed against the preliminary delimitation lists by April 15.

Sindh has a total of eight cantonment boards. The Karachi Division comprises the cantonment boards of Karachi, Malir, Clifton, Korangi, Manora and Faisal.

A total of 52 objections were filed against the preliminary delimitation lists of the six cantonments in the Karachi Division.

Two objections were filed against the preliminary delimitation list of the Hyderabad Cantonment Board.

No objections were received against the preliminary delimitation list of the Pano Aqil Cantonment Board.

The regional election commissioners, serving as delimitation authorities, disposed of the objections within the prescribed time frame and in accordance with the applicable legal framework.
