GUJRAT: The Federal Investigation Agency, Gujrat, has unearthed a unit producing fake visas and foreign passports of European countries and America and arrested a human trafficker involved in running the network during a raid in city’s Islamnagar locality on Sunday night.
A senior FIA official told Dawn a team conducted a raid at a residential building located in Mohalla Ziaul Islam near Taimoor Chowk where accused Naseer Ahmed was apprehended.
Search of the premises yielded fake/forged passports of Pakistan, Britain, Canad, Spani, Belgium. Visa stickers of multiple countries were also recovered.Upon further interrogation, he admitted his involvement in fake documents business for the last eight years.
It is learnt that a case under the relevant sections of law is being registered with Gujrat FIA circle against the suspect and his network.
body found: The body of a 50-year-old married woman has been found at a deserted place nine days after she was kidnapped allegedly by her 29-year-old male friend from Sirdarpura locality of Lalamusa.
A resident of Lalamusa had lodged a complaint with City Police Station on April 14 that his wife had been kidnapped by the suspect, a resident of village Bin Kalas, along with three other suspects, including a woman, on April 10 when she had gone to a nearby shop.
The suspects bundled her into a car and fled. Police had registered a case against the nominated suspects.
The investigators arrested the suspect who revealed that he had raped the woman and later took her to a deserted place on a motorbike where he had already dug up a ditch. He killed the woman through asphyxiation and buried her into the ditch.
An official, privy to the investigation, said the suspect alleged that he had been in physical relationship with the woman for the last eight months and
he would often forbid her to not have such a relationship with any other man but she did not do that and he decided to kill her.
The deceased woman had left six children and a husband among the mourners.
ROBBED: Three armed motorcyclists snatched a laptop and wallet from a student after stopping a bus of University of Gujrat (UoG) near Loraiy Chowk on the outskirts of the city.
A UoG bus carrying students was on its way to the Hafiz Hayat Campus. As soon as it turned from Qadir Colony, Bhimbher Road, towards the Loraiy Chowk, three motorcyclists stopped it at gunpoint.
They entered into the bus and snatched the PM laptop scheme bag and wallet from a student and fled the scene.
