QUETTA: Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti has reaffirmed his commitment to the development of Barkhan district, describing it as his “second home” after Dera Bugti.

He made these remarks during a meeting with tribal leader Mir Abdul Karim Khetran, where the two discussed the political and regional situation of the Koh-i-Suleman Division, particularly Barkhan.

The meeting also focused on aligning upcoming development projects in the next fiscal year’s budget with the needs of local communities to ensure meaningful relief for residents.

Khetran thanked the chief minister for approving key projects in Barkhan, including a 50-bed hospital, and expressed hope that ongoing government initiatives would improve the provision of basic facilities in the area.

CM Bugti emphasised that the uplift of Barkhan and other underdeveloped regions is a top priority for the provincial government. He noted that resources are being distributed fairly and that practical steps are being taken to improve health, education, and basic infrastructure.
