Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar has spoken with Iranian counterpart Abbas Araghchi over the phone, according to the Foreign Office (FO), with the pair exchanging views on the evolving situation in the Middle East.

“[The] DPM/FM reiterated Pakistan’s support for all efforts aimed at de-escalation and underscored the importance of resolving issues through dialogue and diplomacy,” the FO says on X, adding that both top diplomats “agreed to maintain close contact in view of ongoing developments”.
