Robbers gun down man in Shah Faisal Colony

KARACHI: A young man was shot dead by armed robbers in Shah Faisal Colony on Thursday evening, police said.

Area SHO Kashif Rabbani said that two armed robbers attempted to loot citizens in the Green Town area. The citizens put up resistance and chased the armed robbers. However, the muggers resorted to firing, resulting in a bullet wound to a passer-by, Fahad Khalid Rasheed, 30.

In the meantime, the police also reached the spot and arrested one suspect with a pistol and a motorcycle while his accomplice managed to escape from the spot.

The wounded citizen sustained critical wounds in the abdomen and was taken to the Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre, where doctors pronounced him dead on arrival.
