UK Maritime Trade Operations has said an unknown projectile has struck a container vessel some 25 nautical miles (46km) northwest of the UAE’s Ras Al-Khaimah, Al Jazeera reports.
“The master of a container vessel has reported that the vessel sustained damage from a suspected but unknown projectile,” the UKMTO said, adding that the extent of the damage was currently unknown.
All crew members are safe and accounted for, it added.
