HYDERABAD, June 20: District Naib Nazim Zafar Rajput has said that the district government has decided to include all villages of the district in its development plan to bring them on a par with urban areas.

Talking to a delegation of Pakistan Muslim League, Hyderabad chapter, in his office on Monday, Mr Rajput said that the district had undertaken several development projects for the uplift of rural areas.

The delegation led by Sardar Shafi Mohammad Saand apprised the naib nazim of the problems faced by Imam Bux Jatoi and other villages to which he assured that authorities concerned had been directed to provide basic facilities to all the villages.

Mr Rajput met another delegation comprising members of Baba Sarfraz mosque committee. He listened to their problems and announced restoration of the previous mosque committee which was illegally dissolved by the Auqaf department.

He assured the delegation that their problems would be resolved on priority basis. Alhaj Dr Ishaque, Haji Maqbool Ahmed, Haji Salahuddin, Haji Sarwar Baig and Haji Moinuddin were in the delegation.

BANNED: The district nazim has banned under section 144 the movement of unconcerned persons within a radius of 50 meters of the examination centres and illegal business of photo-stat copiers owners on the commencement of annual Secondary School Certificate Part-I (Class-IX) examinations from June 20.

The order, which authorises police to register cases under section 188 in case of violation, will remain in force till the examinations are over.

ROTATION PROGRAMME: Superintending engineer, Pinyari Circle Hyderabad, announced ob Tuesday that all the channels of Daro branch and U/S and D/S Dino Shah X-regulator will remain open.

The Pinyari branch system and all the channels U/S and D/S fall X-regulator will remain closed from June 20 to 23 and from June 28 to July 1.

Similarly, all the channels of Pinyari branch and all the channels U/S and D/S fall X-regulator will remain open while Daro branch system and all the channels U/S and D/S Dino Shah X-regulator will remain closed from June 24 to 27 and from July 2 to 5 under the rotation programme.

WASA: The Water and Sanitation Agency (Wasa) on Tuesday disconnected water supply to hundreds of domestic consumers and several plazas and multistorey buildings for non-payment of dues.

The plazas included, Baldia shopping Centre, Fahad Plaza, Ashabi Centre, City Electric Centre, Al-Noor Centre, Al-Rehman Plaza, Data Square, Saira Plaza and Memon Plaza.

A Wasa spokesman said that millions of rupees were outstanding against the domestic consumers as well as multistorey buildings.

He advised the defaulters to clear their dues to avoid legal action.
