The Rizvia Society police said that the condition of nine men deteriorated after they drank moonshine in Block 3. They were taken to the Abbasi Shaheed Hospital, where doctors pronounced Junaid Saeed, 32, Mohammed Rizwan, 50, and Amir Ghani, 25, dead.
The police said they died during treatment.

The deceased and the affected individuals were residents of Nazimabad No 1 and adjoining areas.
The police claimed to have arrested a suspect, Adnan Ihsan, from Peshawari Chapal Street in Nazimabad No 1, for allegedly supplying the liquor to the victims. They claimed to have recovered 19 bottles of liquor from his possession.
Officials said that the alleged bootlegger had purchased the liquor from various locations and raids are being carried out to apprehend others involved in the “reprehensible trade”.
