CCP approves acquisition

KARACHI: The Competition Commission of Pakistan (CCP) has approved the proposed acquisition of Al-Haj Automotive (Pvt) Ltd by Bestway Automotive (Pvt) Ltd (BAPL), following a Phase-I competition assessment conducted under the Competition Act 2010.

Bestway Automotive (Private) Ltd filed a pre-merger application on Jan 26, for the acquisition of Al-Haj Automotive (Private) Ltd, under Section 11 of the Competition Act 2010. The transaction arises from an Asset Purchase Agreement executed on December 22, 2025, between the merger parties, says a CCP press release.
