TAXILA: The Zakat Foundation of America organised a Ramazan ration distribution programme in a remote area of Jand in Attock, providing essential food support to 300 orphan children.
According to the organisers, 100 orphan children from Union Council Pind Sultani and 200 orphan boys and girls from Union Council Tarap benefited from the initiative. The beneficiary lists had been prepared in advance to ensure transparency and that assistance reached the most deserving families.
Limited economic opportunities and inadequate access to resources make humanitarian support particularly vital in the area, especially during the holy month of Ramazan.
Organisers stated that the primary objective of the initiative was to ease the financial burden on orphan families, help them meet essential household needs and extend compassion and solidarity to vulnerable segments of society during Ramazan.
