RAWALPINDI: Schools located in cold regions across the country and operating under the Federal Government Educational Institutions (Cantonment/Garrison) Directorate Rawalpindi will reopen after winter vacations from March 2 with the commencement of the new academic year 2026.

The admission process for the new academic session will also formally begin with the reopening of institutions.

According to details, similar to other cities, educational institutions functioning under the Directorate in Abbottabad are fully prepared to welcome the new academic year. In this regard, FG Fazaia Public School PAF Base Kalabagh will also begin its academic year 2026 from March 2.

The school administration stated that admissions for the new academic year are open from Prep to Class X (Science). As per the admission schedule issued by the school principal, Ghulam Akbar, admission registration forms will be available from the school admission office starting March 2, 2026.

It was further announced that entry tests for Prep to Class X (Science) will be conducted on March 6, 2026, while admissions will strictly be granted on the basis of merit and availability of seats. The administration added that merit lists for all classes will be displayed on the school notice board on March 9, 2026, to ensure timely information for parents and students.

Appealing to parents, the school administration urged them to strictly follow the admission schedule and complete registration and entry test formalities within the stipulated dates so that the academic year may begin in a timely, organised, and smooth manner.

The spokesman emphasised that these measures would not only ensure academic discipline but would also serve as a significant step towards promoting quality education in the institution.
