GUJART: The work has officially commenced on a project to operate Metro Bus services under a modern Mass Transit System from Eminabad to Ghakkar in Gujranwala.

The project includes 24 bus stations with each stop at one kilometre distance and four underpasses along the route which is expected to be completed within a short span of one year.

Punjab Minister for Transport Bilal Akbar Khan and former chief secretary retired Capt Zahid Saeed attended an official meeting at the Gujranwala Commissioner Office after visiting the Eminabad-Ghakkar route on Thursday.

Commissioner Syed Naveed Haider Shirazi, RPO Khurram Shahzad Haider, DC Naveed Ahmed, and PML-N MPA Qaiser Iqbal Sandhu were also present on the occasion.
