QUETTA: Balochistan Chief Minister Sarfraz Bugti on Wednesday expressed dissatisfaction over the prevailing sanitation conditions in the provincial capital and the handling of public complaints related to cleanliness.

He made these remarks while presiding over a high-level meeting that reviewed the cleanliness and sanitation situation in Quetta. Taking notice of public complaints, he directed the authorities concerned to take immediate, result-oriented and effective measures to address the issues.

The Safa Quetta management and the Quetta Metropolitan Corporation briefed the meeting on ongoing sanitation arrangements, challenges being faced and the future course of action. Various aspects of the existing sanitation system and utilisation of resources were discussed in detail.

CM Bugti directed to introduce immediate and effective improvements to the sanitation system and ensure tangible results in line with ground realities. It was decided to conduct an independent survey to assess public opinion and the overall performance of sanitation services.
