South Korea’s semiconductor giant SK hynix has introduced a new snack shaped like its HBM chips, called “Honey Banana Mat” (HBM). The crunchy 385-calorie chips, sold at 7-Eleven stores, are inspired by the company’s high-bandwidth memory semiconductors used in AI systems.

The edible chips are a fun way to make semiconductors more familiar to the public, blending technological design with taste. The initiative follows similar experiments by competitors, such as Samsung’s limited-edition QD Ramen in 2022.

Chinese tech firm AgiBot earned a Guinness World Record when its humanoid robot, A2, went for a 66-mile walk from Jiangsu Province to Shanghai.

The robot set off from Jinji Lake and arrived at Shanghai’s Bund in a single continuous walk made possible by a system devised to allow the robot to swap batteries while continuing to operate.

The 24-hour trek earned AgiBot the Guinness World Records title for the longest journey walked by a humanoid robot.

A2 followed all traffic laws during its long trek and walked across various surfaces, including asphalt, tiled pavement and bridges. The robot interacted with reporters at the end of its walk, stating that it might now “need a new pair of shoes”, the Global Times reported.

Ozzy Osbourne’s pumpkin mosaic sets a GWR

Sunnyfields Farm in Southampton, England, honoured Ozzy Osbourne with a 2,281-square-foot mosaic made from hundreds of pumpkins and squashes.

The display earned a Guinness World Record for the largest cucurbita mosaic and was unveiled in a ceremony attended by Osbourne’s wife Sharon and daughter Kelly. Osbourne, Black Sabbath’s iconic lead singer, passed away on July 22 at 76.

This shortest horse stands at 21.1 inches

A therapy horse in Germany has been named the shortest living horse by Guinness World Records, measuring only 21.1 inches.

Carola Weidemann adopted Pumuckel in 2020 when he was five months old and just 18 inches tall, saying she was shocked by how tiny he was. Guinness confirmed his height at the withers, making him the shortest living male horse and about an inch and a half shorter than the previous record-holder.

Pumuckel is trained as a therapy horse and visits nursing homes, hospices, schools and disability centres. Weidemann said he has a loving nature, is great with children and enjoys cuddles and attention.
