QUETTA: Balochistan Governor Jaffar Khan Mandokhail on Tuesday directed the Zhob district administration to utilise all available resources to establish lasting peace in the district, prevent crime, protect the lives and property of citizens, and ensure smooth economic and commercial activities for small traders and shopkeepers.

He said that people-friendly measures would help improve the quality of life, attract national investors and promote overall economic development in the area.

The governor expressed these views while reviewing steps taken by the district administration during a one-day visit to Zhob. Senator Saeed-ul-Hassan Mandokhail and MPA Zarak Khan Mandokhail accompanied the governor during the visit.

Governor Mandokhail said it was imperative to enhance the capacity of law enforcement agencies and implement effective crime prevention and people-friendly strategies.

He said that while the tireless efforts of the district administration and other law enforcement agencies to serve and protect the people of Zhob were commendable, further steps were needed to ensure transparency and accountability in all aspects of good governance.

The governor said it was the responsibility of the administration to make effective use of the resources entrusted to it for the welfare of the people. He stressed that infrastructure development must be prioritised for real development and prosperity of the province, adding that every citizen of Zhob district must have access to quality education and healthcare.

This includes improving the condition of schools and hospitals, as well as providing training and adequate resources to teachers and healthcare professionals, he said.
