RAWALPINDI: Another cabin crew member of Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has reportedly gone missing while on duty after landing in Canada, marking the third such case reported to the airline this year.

The missing crew member, identified as Asif Najam, was scheduled to board PIA flight PK-798 from Toronto to Lahore on Nov 19, 2025.

However, he did not turn up to report to the flight.

Najam, a senior flight attendant, had opera-ted flight PK-789 from Lahore to Toronto on Nov 16, 2025.

He went missing after arriving in Canada.

A spokesman for PIA said in a statement that Najam failed to report for duty on the return flight. When contacted by management, the flight attendant gave the excuse of “ill health”.

“Departmental action will be initiated against the flight steward in case of illegal disappearance and the matter is being investigated,” the spokesman added.
