BAHAWALPUR: The Rescue 1122 has retrieved the body of one Umar (30), who along with his six years old daughter, had committed suicide by jumping into the Bahawal Canal near Uch on Thursday.

The rescuers told Dawn the body was located and retrieved from the canal after over 24 hours’ search from Head Qasimwala near Liquatpur, which was 65 kms from the place of his jump into the canal.

The body of his daughter is yet to be located.
