KARACHI: Ahtesham Humiyun secured his third title in two weeks as he defeated Asad Zaman 8-4 in the men’s final during the first Sohail Univ­ersity National Tennis Champio­n­ship here at the DA Creek Club on Thursday.

Ahtesham can add another title to his tally when he face Hassan Usmani in the Under-18 final. Ahtesham beat Muzammil Bhand 6-1, 6-4 while Hassan downed Asad 7-6, 6-1.

In the girls U-18 last-four matches, Romaisa Malik cruised past Inaya Sayyed 6-2, 6-2 to set up another final against Bismail Zia, who swept aside Eschelle Asif 6-1, 6-1.

Romaisa, earlier, downed Bismil 5-3, 5-4 to claim the U-14 crown.

Inaya, meanwhile, made amends as she moved into the women’s decider after defeating Dalia Ashraf 8-2.

Ali Babar routed Zohayr Imad 10-1, 10-4 to clinch the U-7 title.

Men’s doubles: Mahateer/Raahim Veqar bt Tanveer/Asad 8-3; Taimoor/Nameer bt Kashan/Yahya 8-6

Boys Under-14 doubles: Junaid Peshawar/Ansarullah bt Yahya/Zain 5-4, 3-5, 10-6

Girls Under-14 doubles: Bismil Zia/Eman Shahbaz bt Areeba/Zohha Imad 4-0, 4-0
