Ambassador Asim Iftikhar Ahmad noted that Pakistan has adopted a “principled position”, rooted in international law and the UN Charter, and:

  1. Strongly and unambiguously condemned Israeli aggression and expressed solidarity for Iran’s inherent and legitimate right to self-defence
  2. Denounced unlawful Israeli unilateral strikes on IAEA safeguarded nuclear facilities
  3. Called for bringing an end to this aggression
  4. Advocated for the cessation of hostilities and reverting to dialogue and diplomacy
