LAHORE: An anti-terrorism court on Friday confirmed the pre-arrest bail of PTI founding chairman Imran Khan’s sisters and others in cases related to last year’s October protests.

Judge Arshad Javed heard the bail petitions of Aleema Khan, Uzma Khan, Zameer Ahmad Jhedu and Saeed Ahmad.

The sisters did not appear before the court and a one-time exemption request for personal appearance was submitted on their behalf.

The judge accepted the request and also confirmed their interim bail subject to surety bonds of Rs100,000 each.

On the other hand, Jhedu and Saeed appeared before the court as their bail period had expired.

The judge also confirmed their pre-arrest bail subject to surety bonds of Rs100,000 each. The PTI leaders had approached the court for bail fearing their arrest in cases registered at the Lorry Adda, Islampura and Masti Gate police stations.
