LAHORE: As many as 700 male and female athletes will participate in the Chief Minister Punjab Inter Division Summer Games scheduled to start in Lahore from Thursday (today).

In this regard, Punjab Sports and Youth Affairs Director General Khizar Afzaal Chaudhry chaired a meeting of the organising committee.

He issued the directions to all the divisional sports officers to make arrangements in bringing their contingent to Lahore, keeping in view the hot weather prevailing in Lahore.

The Punjab Sports Board was also ensuring the best arrangements for athletes so that they could have a pleasant stay in Punjab’s capital during the summer games, he said.

Kabaddi, volleyball, hockey and badminton competitions will be held during the event.
