QUETTA: Six people, including three policemen, were injured in a hand-grenade attack here on Monday.

Officials said unidentified assailants attacked a police vehicle with a hand-grenade near Bakra Mandi at the Eastern Bypass area of the provincial capital.

The attack left six people injured, including SHO Noorullah of Manzoor Shaheed Police Station, Additional SHO Kamran, Constable Muhammad Ali and two young girls who were passing through the area at the time of the explosion.

After the incident, police and other law-enforcement agencies cordoned off the area and took the injured to a nearby hospital.
