DERA GHAZI KHAN: Goth Mazari police successfully thwarted a kidnapping attempt and saved five men from falling into the honey-trap of Katcha gangs.

According to a Rajanpur police spokesperson, the gangsters from the Katcha area allegedly honeytrapped the men with cheap online goods. All the five victims belonged to Lahore and they were doing online business of cosmetics.

The gangs of the Katcha area on the border of Punjab and Sindh had lured them with sale of cosmetics are the cheapest rates and asked their potential victims to travel to the area from Lahore. But they were luckily intercepted on the road by police who saved them from being kidnapped.

District Police Officer (DPO) Farooq Amjad stated that the kidnappers typically deceived innocent people by offering low-priced items or using women as honey-traps.

DPO Farooq Amjad urged the public not to fall for such criminal tactics. He further said that awareness campaigns are being conducted across all media platforms and at police check-posts to educate the public and prevent such incidents.
