HYDERABAD: A man died and his wife suffered injuries when the couple was attacked by the woman’s brother and son from her first husband in Husri area on Wednesday.

Police officials said that Ms Azmat had married Shafi Solangi in Adal Noonari village within jurisdiction of Husri police station. On Wednesday they were attacked by Ms Azmat’s brother, Bilawal, and Noor Mohammad, her son from the first husband.

The couple received wounds caused by an axe and shifted to Liaquat University Hospital (LUH) where Solangi succumbed to his injuries and Ms Azmat was admitted for treatment.

Police were said to have apprehended the suspects and recovered crime weapon from their possession.
